My Coaching Approach

Many years of international experience as an executive in HR and Marketing, working in and with top management, have led me to an approach to coaching that is based on the deeply rooted principles of Co-Active Coaching. I firmly believe that everyone has the resources they need and that we grow best when we are both challenged and supported to develop and fulfil them.

My coaching approach is similar to peeling an onion. Layer by layer, I work with my coachees to better utilise their resources and uncover any hidden ones in order to overcome future challenges. This process can sometimes be very uncomfortable, but this is where change and development happen. Much like the onion that adds flavour to our dishes, penetrating these layers adds depth to life and experience. You as the coachee decide if and when you want to move on to the next layer.

Some of the key principles of Co-Active Coaching that I embody in my work are:

  1. Holistic view: I do not see my coachees' professional or personal lives as separate, because everything is interconnected. This makes effective and far-reaching changes possible.
  2. Co-creation: As a coach, I see myself and my coachee as active partners in the process. I contribute my experience and intuition while keeping the space open so that my coachees can find their own insights and solutions.
  3. Focus on the here and now: Instead of concentrating exclusively on future goals, I also use the present moment to recognise current blockages and grow through them together.

I also incorporate aspects of group dynamics into my coaching sessions. We are all part of systems whose reactions we (can) influence through our actions and by which we are influenced. In coaching, we look at how you act in the respective system and how you can organise these interactions more effectively.

Respect, trust, appreciation and empowerment are the core values of my work. It is important to me that my coachees not only react, but also act proactively and according to their strengths.

Innovation and transformation are not only important in business, but also for our own development. Both begin within us, and the necessary foundations are already in place.
